诺和诺德称CagriSema击败了礼来公司的Zepbound

- Novo Nordisk (NVO) said that results from a phase 3 trial found that its experimental, once-weekly obesity treatment CagriSema (cagrilintide and semaglutide) achieved better weight loss results compared to a 5 mg dose of rival Eli Lilly's (LLY) weekly injection Zepbound (tirzepatide).
- Data from REIMAGINE 5 found CagriSema 1 mg/1 mg led to an estimated average weight loss of 12.4% vs. 9.1% on Zepbound at week 60. CagriSema also showed non-inferior reduction in HbA1c compared to Zepbound.
- Patients enrolled in this trial had type 2 diabetes.
- In REDEFINE 9, which enrolled overweight and obese patients, those on CagriSema had weight loss of 21% vs. 2% for placebo. Zepbound was not included in this study.
- The Zepbound dose tested is one of the lower doses available, as it comes in doses ranging from 2.5 mg to 15 mg. Tirzepatide is also sold by Lilly as a type 2 diabetes medication under Mounjaro with the same dosage range.
