  • Shares of major airlines and cruise operators dipped Wednesday premarket, while oil and gas companies bucked the trend to rally on the heels of recent remarks by President Donald Trump.

  • Carnival Corporation (CCL) slid ~4% in early action, while Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL) and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) fell 3% each.
  • Major carriers also faced a broad sell-off, led by United Airlines (UAL) dropping 3.4% and American Airlines (AAL) shedding 3.2%. Elsewhere in the sector, Delta Air Lines (DAL) fell 2.7%, while ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Group (ULCC) slipped 2.1%.
  • In the hotel sector, Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) -2.5%, Hyatt Hotels (H) -1.7%, and Hilton Worldwide (HLT) -2%.
