Draganfly (DPRO) announced on Monday that it is raising $10M through a strategic investment from Unusual Machines (UMAC) and a U.S. investment fund, with each investing $5M.
The investment is structured as a registered direct offering of 1.87M shares at $5.35 per share.
The net proceeds will be used to develop advanced drone technologies and fund working capital as demand grows in U.S. and international markets.
The investment comes as the company expands its commercial and defense business, including recent procurement activity with the Canadian Armed Forces.
The deal is expected to close around September 29, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
On the market side, following the announcement, the Draganfly stock traded 7% higher at ~$5.75.
