2026-09-21 21:13
- AMC Entertainment (AMC) on Monday started a private offering of $2B of first-lien notes due 2031 and also launched syndication of a new $850M first-lien term loan.
- The company also secured a commitment for a $1.12B second-lien term loan from Deutsche Bank (DB) AG NY Branch, bringing the planned financing to $3.97B.
- The proceeds, along with cash on hand, will be used to tender for AMC’s 7.5% senior secured notes due 2029 and redeem any remaining notes around February 15, 2027.
- The part of proceeds will also be used to fully repay Muvico’s $903.4M senior secured notes, AMC’s existing term loan, and Odeon Finco PLC’s existing term loan, along with related fees and expenses.
- The new debt is intended to restructure and refinance AMC’s existing debt, with completion dependent on market conditions and other customary conditions.
- On the market side, the AMC stock traded 1.85% higher at ~$2.75 in the pre-market hours.
