Veracyte以高达1.8亿美元收购Convergent Genomics

- Veracyte (VCYT) has agreed to buy Convergent Genomics, which is focused on urologic cancer diagnostics, for $150M upfront.
- The acquisition gives Veracyte, which provides cancer genomic tests, access to Convergent's UroAmp MRD, a urine test that can detect, monitor, and predict the risk of urothelial cancer or its recurrence well before signs and symptoms develop or become detectable.
- So far, UroAmp MRD has been validated in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
- Convergent could receive another $30M in milestone payments based on UroAmp reimbursement efforts.
- Veracyte said it plans to expand use of UroAmp to other indications, such as intravesical maintenance therapy monitoring and surveillance following treatment with curative intent.
