Federal officials could announce as soon as Thursday that the Cyclospora outbreak that began in July and has sickened over 11,400 individuals has ended.
Citing two officials, The Washington Post reported that the timing is not definite.
The US identified Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce grown in Mexico as the source of the outbreak. That lettuce was served at Yum! Brands' (YUM) Taco Bell restaurants.
In mid-July, Taylor issued a recall.
Michigan was hit the hardest by the outbreak. Two people in the state with underlying health conditions died after infection.
