- Federal officials could announce as soon as Thursday that the Cyclospora outbreak that began in July and has sickened over 11,400 individuals has ended.
- Citing two officials, The Washington Post reported that the timing is not definite.
- The US identified Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce grown in Mexico as the source of the outbreak. That lettuce was served at Yum! Brands' (YUM) Taco Bell restaurants.
- In mid-July, Taylor issued a recall.
- Michigan was hit the hardest by the outbreak. Two people in the state with underlying health conditions died after infection.
