随着人工智能提高效率,华尔街银行要求降低律师费:FT

2026-09-01 12:21

  • Goldman Sachs (GS), Morgan Stanley (MS), and Citi (C) tell law firms their bills should fall because technology has made routine work faster, the Financial Times reported.
  • Goldman Sachs had asked law firms how much AI was saving them and expected to share in those benefits, FT reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
  • If lawyers take less time to work on a matter because of AI, Citigroup’s expectation is for “costs to come down significantly per transaction,” Adam Meshel, the bank’s global head of legal, told the FT.
  • Citigroup had started asking law firms to bid for work and explain how much they were saving using AI. A “different working model” based on that approach would probably be in place within a year, Meshel said.
  • Eric Grossman, Morgan Stanley’s general counsel, told the FT that law firms’ compensation model is now “extraordinarily unstable”
