Guardant Health在专利判决中败诉;被勒令支付2.45亿美元

- A Delaware federal court issued final judgment in favor of TwinStrand BioSciences and the University of Washington, who accused Guardant Health (GH) of infringing two core patents related to TwinStrand's Duplex Sequencing technology.
- The court upheld a jury's $83.4M award for damages for infringement through June 30, 2023. It also awarded $19.5M in supplemental damages for sales between July 1, 2023, and Feb. 5, 2024, and $119.4M in accrued royalties at a 6% rate for sales between Feb. 5, 2024, and May 31, 2026.
- Another $22.9M was added for pre-judgment and post-judgment interest.
- Guardant Health will have to pay a 6% royalty on sales of covered products and services from June 1, 2026 through the patents' expiration on March 15, 2033.
- The company said it will appeal the final judgment, adding that its Reveal, Shield tests are not included in the order.
