- Raytheon (RTX) announced on Friday that it received two U.S. defense contracts worth a combined $1.28B for missile and weapons-system production.
- The Missile Defense Agency awarded Raytheon a $745.4M contract to manufacture and assemble Standard Missile-3 Block IIA missiles for the U.S. government and Japan's Ministry of Defense.
- The SM-3 contract is expected to run through February 2031, with $553.3M in procurement and Japan-related funds obligated at the time of award.
- Separately, the U.S. Army awarded the company a $536.0M contract modification for full-rate production and engineering services supporting the TOW Weapon System.
- The TOW Weapon System modification brings the contract's total cumulative value to $750.8M and is expected to be completed by August 2027.
