- QumulusAI (QMLS) said on Friday it signed an agreement with an agentic hedge fund under which it will receive market-rate fees for AI compute services and a share of the fund's quarterly trading profits.
- The shares of the Nasdaq-listed company were up 7% in premarket trading.
- The AI infrastructure provider said the deal marks the first deployment of a new monetization strategy for its reserve NVIDIA Blackwell GPU capacity (NVDA), combining compute revenue with profit sharing while carrying no exposure to trading losses.
- Unlike the company's previously announced fixed-value, take-or-pay contracts, revenue from the agreement will vary based on the fund's compute usage and trading performance.
