2026-07-31 01:52
- Shares of EyePoint (EYPT) gained on Thursday after the company said that two late-stage trials for its lead asset, Duravyu, completed enrollments ahead of schedule, validating its confidence in the program.
- The global trials named COMO and CAPRI are designed to evaluate the intravitreal insert in both newly diagnosed and previously treated patients with diabetic macular edema, the leading cause of blindness in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
- Both studies have completed enrollments in only five months, adding more than 480 patients ahead of their topline readouts scheduled for Q4 2027, the company said.
- "DURAVYU's compelling efficacy and safety profile, combined with positive feedback on our trial design from both the FDA and EMA, underscores our confidence in the program as we advance toward topline data in DME anticipated next year,” added CEO Jay Duker.
