2026-07-28 01:44
- ViiV Healthcare, which is majority owned by GSK (GSK), said that a head-to-head study of its HIV treatment Dovato (dolutegravir/lamivudine), which contains two drugs, is as effective as Gilead Sciences' (GILD) three-drug Biktarvy (bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir).
- Results from the phase 3b open-label VOGUE study that enrolled around 500 treatment-naive patients with HIV found that at 48 weeks, virologic suppression was 89% in the Dovato group and 92% in the Biktarvy cohort.
- Median time to viral suppression was the same in both groups -- about 4.1 weeks.
