Ocean Power Technologies (OPTT) said on Thursday it acquired developmental subsea technology assets from Columbia Power Technologies to expand its maritime infrastructure portfolio.
The asset acquisition adds subsea power technology and related intellectual property to the company's existing offshore power, autonomous surface vehicle, and maritime sensing capabilities.
Ocean Power said the deal is intended to strengthen its offerings for defense and commercial customers while preserving financial flexibility.
