高管现金保留计划披露后,Karyopharm股价下跌21%
2026-07-21 04:57
- Karyopharm Pharmaceuticals (KPTI) closed Monday down ~21% after disclosing a "2026 Leadership Cash Retention Program" for some of its top executives.
- Those who will benefit from it are its CEO, CFO, chief development officer, and chief medical officer.
- CEO Richard Paulson is the largest beneficiary as he will receive $1,725,000.
- An SEC filing stated that the purpose of the program is "to incentivize retention of key employees during a period in which the Company is expecting several meaningful catalysts requiring the continued experience and expertise of the designated employees."
- RBC Capital Markets, which rates the stock at outperform and a $16 price target (~128% upside based on Monday's close) said the sell-off is unwarranted based on conversations it had with the company.
- Analyst Brian Abrahams said the cash retention program replaces a guaranteed annual bonus.
- He added it is unlikely the program is related to an upcoming phase 3 data release of Xpovio (selinexor) in endometrial cancer, adding he gives that trial a 65% possibility of success.
