Curtiss-Wright (CW) announced on Monday an $80M multi-year investment to expand its manufacturing facility in Cheswick, Pennsylvania, which supports the company's naval defense and commercial nuclear businesses.
The expansion includes building two new facilities to increase production and testing capacity, improve efficiency, reduce delivery times, and support future growth.
The project is expected to create about 150 new jobs over the next three years while retaining more than 860 existing jobs.
The investment will be funded via a mix of Curtiss-Wright's internal capital, support from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and maritime industrial base funding
The company also received a $1.21M grant through Pennsylvania's PA SITES program.
CEO Lynn M. Bamford said the expansion will help the company meet growing demand from its naval defense and commercial nuclear customers.
