- Carl Icahn's investment company Icahn Enterprises (IEP) said on Wednesday it has promoted CFO Ted Papapostolou to president and CEO, effective immediately.
- Papapostolou, who has been CFO since November 2021 and a director since December 2021, succeeds Andrew Teno, who has resigned as CEO and board member to relocate and pursue another opportunity closer to home.
- The company said Teno’s departure was not due to any disagreement.
- Papapostolou joined Icahn Enterprises in 2007 and has held several senior finance roles, including chief accounting officer. He also serves on the board of Caesars Entertainment (CZR).
- The company promoted Robert Flint to CFO, succeeding Papapostolou. Flint, who has served as chief accounting officer since 2023, was also appointed to the board.
- Chairman Carl Icahn thanked Teno for his contributions, while Teno said he leaves confident in the firm’s leadership and future.
