软银、Toppan推出太阳能HAPS飞机轻型机翼外壳

- Japan’s SoftBank (SFTBY) and TOPPAN (TOPPY) jointly developed a lightweight, durable “skin” material for wings used in solar-powered high-altitude platform station aircraft.
- The newly announced material is designed to improve durability, environmental resistance, and weight efficiency, critical factors for aircraft operating.
- The companies said the skin is compatible with solar-powered fixed-wing HAPS aircraft, which rely on ultra-light structures to maintain long-duration flight.
- SoftBank (SFTBY) has been investing in this segment for years, aiming to deploy solar-powered unmanned aircraft, delivering 4G/5G connectivity to remote or disaster-hit regions.
