- Honeywell (HON) said on Wednesday that its Quantinuum quantum computing unit confidentially filed for an initial public offering on Feb. 17.
- The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined, Honeywell added.
- Honeywell shares rose 1.7% in premarket trading, while other quantum computing stocks, such as IonQ (IONQ), D-Wave Quantum (QBTS), Quantum Computing (QUBT), and Arqit Quantum (ARQQ), were mixed.
- Based in Charlotte, N.C., Honeywell said in January that it intended to submit an S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission for its quantum computing unit, Quantinuum, and have it go public.
- Quantinuum raised $600M in 2025 at a $10B valuation. The unit previously raised $300M in January 2024 in a round led by JPMorgan Chase, which valued it at $5B before the deal.
