Cars.com (NYSE:CARS) (d/b/a Cars Commerce) appointed Tobias Hartmann as the next CEO and added him to the Board of Directors, effective January 15, 2026.
Hartmann will be succeeding Alex Vetter, who will step down as CEO and Board member effective January 15, 2026. Vetter will serve as an advisor to the company through March 31, 2026, to allow a smooth transition.
Hartmann brings more than 25 years of experience in e-commerce and marketplace companies. Most recently, he served as CEO and Chairman of the management board of Scout24.
