- Diana Shipping (DSX) said on Monday it has signed a time charter contract with Denmark’s Dampskibsselskabet Norden A/S for its 2015-built Capesize dry bulk vessel Santa Barbara.
- The charter rate is $25,500 per day, less a 5% commission, for a period running from at least March 1, 2027 to as late as April 30, 2027.
- The new charter is expected to begin on November 29, 2025, following the vessel’s current employment with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines at $22,000 per day.
- Diana Shipping said the new contract is expected to generate about $11.5 million in gross revenue over the minimum period.
- The Athens-based company’s fleet consists of 36 dry bulk vessels with a combined carrying capacity of about 4.1 million deadweight tons.
- DSX +0.58% premarket to $1.71.
