07:34 AM EST, 01/26/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Five Star Senior Living (FVE) said Wednesday that it has rebranded as AlerisLife Inc.

The newly rebranded company's common shares will start trading on the Nasdaq stock market under the new ticker symbol ALR as of the start of trading on Jan. 27.

The company's CEO Katie Potter said the name change reflects its transition from mainly a senior living owner and operator to a more diversified and comprehensive partner.

Also, the company appointed Lauren Cody as chief customer officer and Michael Lopez as chief people officer.
