汇丰银行称将彻底改革高管薪酬,转向注重奖金的模式

2026-10-12 18:42

  • HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBC) will reportedly phase out fixed-pay allowances for its senior staff and instead hand out a greater proportion of its compensation in the form of bonuses, becoming the latest UK lender to switch to Wall Street-style remuneration to better align with performance.
  • The London-headquartered bank will switch to the new pay system at the start of 2028, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg News.
  • The move is to better align payout with performance as part of chief executive officer Georges Elhedery continuing overhaul of the lender.
  • “As a global bank, adapting our approach in this way strengthens our ability to pay for performance, better differentiate, attract the best talent, and recognise those who deliver the best outcomes for our customers, clients and stakeholders,” a spokesman for HSBC said in a statement to Bloomberg News.
  • The move follows a similar update from Barclays (BCS), which said in July it would switch more of its employees’ pay toward bonuses.
