Shares of Snowflake (SNOW) fell about 3% in premarket trading on Tuesday after ASOS (ASOMF) customers received a notification claiming that hackers had compromised the retailer's Snowflake instance and threatened to leak data.
The notification was widely shared on social media and reported by media outlets and addressed to ASOS's data protection officer and IT department.
"Dear ASOS DPO and IT, we have fully compromised the Snowflake instance. Engage with us, or we will leak it," the message reads.
The reports also weighed on ASOS shares, which fell more than 10% in London.
Snowflake did not immediately respond to Seeking Alpha's request for a comment.
