Alector与Genentech达成许可协议

2026-10-05 22:11

  • Alector (ALEC) is up ~22% in Monday morning trading after announcing a licensing deal for its AL050 program to treat Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases with Roche (RHHBY)-owned Genentech.
  • Terms give Genentech global rights to develop and commercialize the AL050 program, Alector's brain-penetrant engineered glucocerebrosidase (GCase) ERT.
  • Alector gains an upfront payment of $100M, is eligible for milestone payments of $1.17B, and is also eligible for tiered royalties on net sales. Genentech is responsible for development, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercialization, while Alector maintains ownership of the platform across its wholly owned pipeline.
  • AL050, which is only in the preclinical stage, aims to treat GCase deficiency, a driver of neurodegeneration in Parkinson's. It combines an Alector's GCase and its ABC, which delivers therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier. Once it reaches the brain, the enzyme replacement treatment "is intended to break down glucosylsphingosine and glucosylceramide, lipids that accumulate in neurons and other brain cells upon GCase deficiency and contribute to neurodegeneration, with the aim of reducing cellular dysfunction and slowing disease progression."
  • Alector noted the deal extends its cash runway into 2029.
