Anthropic类似CRISPR的发现后，基因编辑股票下跌

- Gene editing companies traded lower on Wednesday after Anthropic (ANTHRO) said that its AI model Claude has “autonomously discovered” a new enzyme system similar to the gene-editing tool CRISPR.
- Notable decliners include Beam Therapeutics (BEAM), CRISPR Therapeutics (CRSP), Intellia Therapeutics (NTLA), Prime Medicine (PRME), Q32 Bio (QTTB), and LENZ Therapeutics (LENZ).
- Noting that Claude discovered the enzyme system after reviewing an expansive database of DNA sequences, Anthropic (ANTHRO) said that the involvement of its scientists in the work was limited to the initial prompt and lab work.
- The discovery marked the first for the Dario Amodei-led firm’s recently launched wet lab and signals the early evidence of Claude’s value for science ahead of the company’s highly anticipated IPO, expected as early as this year.
