A new analysis of phase 3 data found that a combination of Johnson & Johnson's Tecvayli (teclistamab) and Darzalex Faspro (daratumumab and hyaluronidase) for multiple myeloma patients who had received as many as three prior therapies led to sustained disease control and survival.
Statistical modeling projected that ~87% of patients on the combo may have a mortality risk and projected life expectancy similar to an age-matched general population.
In addition, those on Tec-Dara would have median overall survival four times longer than with the standard of care comparator in the study, dexamethasone with Pomalyst (pomalidomide) or Velcade (bortezomib).
A post-hoc analysis of data from the MajesTEC-3 study found that Tec-Dara cut the risk of cumulative incidence of disease progression by 90% compared to standard of care.
