Diana Shipping (DSX) has secured a new time charter for the 60,404-dwt Ultramax vessel DSI Polaris with Dai An Ocean Shipping.
The charter rate is $18,000 per day, less a 5% third-party commission, through at least May 1, 2028 and up to June 30, 2028.
The charter is expected to begin September 25, 2026, replacing its current Cargill charter at $12,250 per day.
The new employment is expected to generate ~$10.37M in gross revenue over the minimum charter period.
Diana Shipping currently operates 36 dry bulk vessels with ~4.1M dwt of combined carrying capacity.
