- World Acceptance (WRLD) appointed John L. Calmes Jr. as president and CEO, effective September 21, succeeding the company’s previous leadership.
- Calmes most recently served as executive VP, chief financial and strategy officer, and treasurer.
- He formerly worked at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and PwC, where he served banking and capital markets clients
- Calmes said the company’s business was producing strong results through the first two and a half months of its second fiscal quarter, similar to the first quarter.
