Canaan (CAN) mined 44 BTC in August 2026, while its non-JV installed hashrate remained at 10.05 EH/s and JV installed hashrate reached 4.92 EH/s.
The company sold its entire 3,952 ETH position and 54 BTC for ~$13.9M in cash, at average prices of about $2,400/ETH and $79,000/BTC.
Canaan used part of the proceeds to repurchase ~13.6M ADSs, bringing year-to-date repurchases to about 16.4M ADSs.
As of August 31, Canaan held 1,868 BTC and no ETH, while maintaining an average all-in power cost of ~$0.043/kWh.
