- Corning (GLW) shares slide 8% in premarket trading on Monday, due in part to concerns about slowing artificial intelligence spending and the company's $2B equity distribution agreement.
- After the close of trading on Friday, Corning announced it entered into an equity distribution agreement with Goldman Sachs (GS) to sell up to $2B in shares via an “at the market” equity offering program, with Goldman acting as sales agent.
- Corning will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, the company added in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
