Investor Eric Sprott acquired 2.55M common shares of Goldgroup Mining following the completion of Goldgroup's merger with Gold Resource Corp (GORO).
The shares were acquired by Sprott's 2176423 Ontario Ltd. in exchange for its 7.05M Gold Resource shares under the merger, in which Gold Resource shareholders received 0.3619 Goldgroup shares for each share held.
Following the transaction, Sprott beneficially owns 10.08M Goldgroup shares and 3.96M warrants, representing about 7.5% of the company's outstanding shares on a non-diluted basis and 10.1% on a partially diluted basis, down from 14.4% previously on a partially diluted basis.
