Ford (F) sold 10.3% fewer vehicles in the second quarter, with electric vehicle sales cut nearly in half and hybrid sales down 20% from the same quarter last year.
According to recent data released by the automaker, Ford (F) sold 549,200 vehicles in Q2, notching lower sales for SUVs and trucks, while car sales were up 3.4%.
Year-to-date, total vehicle sales are down 9.6% from the same period last year, with EV sales down 57.4%, hybrids down 20%, and ICE vehicle sales down 6.4%.
For the month of June, Ford (F) increased its market share by 0.2 percentage points to 12.3%.
Ford (F) shares opened higher with a gain of 1.5%.
