Align Technology面临欧盟反垄断调查
2026-06-30 21:46
- The European Commission has launched an antitrust investigation into Align Technology (ALGN) over allegations the company tied its Invisalign products to its intra-oral scanners, under the name iTero, stymying competition.
- iTero is used by dental professionals to make a 3D scan of a patient's teeth and jaws.
- "The Commission is concerned that Align Technology may have unfairly leveraged its market-leading Invisalign clear aligners, by effectively forcing dental professionals to purchase the iTero scanner if they wish to order Invisalign for their patients," an EC news release states.
- The commission's investigation is focused on what it calls "Align's restrictive interoperability strategy" based on two important measures: "refusal to approve competing state-of-the-art scanners" and "refusal to accept dental professionals' submissions of scans."
