- Plus Therapeutics (PSTV) shares rose in early premarket trading after its subsidiary CNSide Diagnostics announced an agreement with Elevance Health (ELV) to expand coverage for a cancer screening test.
- The national agreement allows members of Elevance (ELV) to get reimbursed for CNSide, a test designed for patients with carcinomas and melanomas to identify whether their tumor cells have spread to the central nervous system.
- The laboratory-developed test known as the CNSide Cerebrospinal Fluid Tumor Cell Enumeration assay is currently available to U.S. health care professionals exclusively through CNSide Diagnostics.
- The coverage decision, which took effect on May 1, 2026, is set to benefit roughly 45.4M people in the U.S., the company said, adding that the agreement widens its availability to 126M people based on total contracted lives.
