艾伯维、Enanta宣布扩大欧盟标签，Maviret

- AbbVie (ABBV) and Enanta Pharmaceuticals (ENTA) announced on Tuesday that the European Commission has approved a label expansion for their jointly developed hepatitis C therapy, Maviret.
- Accordingly, the once-daily tablet, previously available in the region only for chronic HCV infection, will also be indicated for those aged 3 years and older with the acute form of the disease, the companies said.
- Over 12M individuals in Europe suffer from infections with the hepatitis C virus, which can lead to liver complications such as cirrhosis and end-stage liver disease if left untreated, AbbVie (ABBV) said.
- The company added that the approval, backed by results from a late-stage trial for an eight-week regimen of Maviret, makes the antiviral the only HCV therapy available in the EU for acute and chronic forms of the disease.
