卫星与地面连接:基础设施建设的两种方式

2026-06-18 02:44

Investors Should Know: Satellite connectivity is increasingly being deployed as a resilience layer alongside traditional mobile networks. Hardware suppliers and telecom operators both playing roles in building out the space communications infrastructure.

The recent IPO of SpaceX (SPCX) has raised investor interest in all space-related technology, including satellite-terrestrial connectivity. This refers to systems where satellite links serve as a backup or complement to ground-based mobile networks. Rather than replacing terrestrial infrastructure, satellite connections fill coverage gaps in remote areas or during network outages.

Two distinct layers are emerging in this space. The first is the operator layer, where mobile carriers integrate satellite access directly into their service offerings. The second is the hardware supply chain, where component manufacturers produce the optics, sensors, and electronics that go inside satellites themselves.

On the operator side, mobile carriers are partnering with satellite providers to extend coverage. On the hardware side, companies supplying precision optics and photonics components are seeing demand tied directly to satellite launch frequency. Syntec Optics (OPTX) is one publicly traded name in the components space. Broader aerospace and defense companies with satellite-adjacent operations include RTX Corporation (RTX) and The Boeing Company (BA).

Other publicly traded names with exposure across the telecom and aerospace sectors include ATI Inc. (ATI), TTM Technologies (TTMI), Mercury Systems (MRCY), AAR Corp. (AIR), V2X (VVX), Astronics Corporation (ATRO), Ondas Inc. (ONDS), and Ducommun Incorporated (DCO). On the telecom side, names with wireless and alternative carrier exposure include Anterix Inc. (ATEX), KORE Group Holdings (KORE), and Deutsche Telekom AG (DTEGY).

The screener below identifies publicly traded companies aligned with the global defense and aerospace theme - the closest available proxy for space infrastructure exposure - ranked by relevance to the theme, with the most theme-relevant companies appearing first. Results are filtered to those carrying a Buy or Strong Buy Quant Rating.
