- Granite (NYSE:GVA) on Wednesday said it has been awarded a contract valued at about $66 million by the California Department of Transportation for a highway improvement project in Nevada County, California.
- The company said the project will expand State Route 49 to four lanes with a center turn lane to improve safety and reduce congestion.
- Funding will come from federal and state sources and will be included in Granite’s fourth-quarter 2025 capital appropriation plan.
- The project includes drainage improvements, accessibility upgrades, a truck climbing lane, and a wildlife crossing culvert.
