UDR (UDR) closed a $230M expansion of its joint venture with LaSalle Investment Management, increasing total JV size to ~$850M.
The Company contributed four additional apartment communities totaling 974 homes, bringing the JV to 2,564 apartment homes.
UDR will retain a 51% ownership stake in the contributed communities.
The assets will be encumbered with 50% debt, resulting in JV-level leverage of ~33%.
UDR will receive about $200M in cash proceeds.
Proceeds will be used for share repurchases, debt repayment, and general corporate purposes, with further JV growth opportunities targeted in 2026.
