Alamo Group (ALG) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Petersen Industries for $166.5M, financed through cash on hand and its credit facility.
The purchase price equates to roughly $150M when adjusted for the present value of expected tax benefits.
The deal values Petersen at ~7.9x EBITDA, excluding anticipated run-rate synergies.
Petersen, a market leader in truck-mounted grapple loaders for bulky waste collection, generated about $75M in revenue in 2024.
Upon closing, Petersen will join Alamo Group’s Industrial Equipment Division.
Alamo Group expects the acquisition to deliver cost savings, revenue growth, and product expansion opportunities through integration.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
