On Semiconductor (ON) was in focus on Tuesday after the analog chipmaker said it expects between $200M and $300M in costs associated with the restructuring it announced in the first quarter.
“These impairment and accelerated depreciation charges are for long-lived assets relating to investments in manufacturing assets at certain onsemi manufacturing facilities,” the company said in an 8-K filing. “Management estimates that these charges will reduce the Company’s recurring depreciation expense in an amount estimated to be between $10 million and $15 million in 2026. The Company does not expect that these charges, most of which will be incurred between now and the first two quarters of 2026, will result in material future cash expenditures.”
Shares of the chipmaker were down 1.1% in premarket trading.
