Equifax acquires HR services firm Vault Verify

Equifax (EFX) acquired Vault Verify, a provider of HR services including employment and income verification, enhancing the data that Equifax provides to verifiers, the company said on Monday.

Vault Verify complements Equifax's Work Number database with information that can help consumers when they're applying for jobs, mortgages, social services benefits, and other financial services, it said.

"Leveraging the power of our Equifax Cloud transformation, we are able to rapidly integrate Vault Verify into ongoing Equifax operations and deliver verifiers the information they need quickly and efficiently," Equifax (EFX) CEO Mark Begor said.

Financial terms of the transaction weren't disclosed. The acquired business is now a part of Equifax's Workforce Solutions business unit.

Equifax (EFX) stock rose 1.4% in after-hours trading.
