Ambac Financial更名为Octave Specialty

- Ambac Financial Group (AMBC) said on Monday it has changed its name to Octave Specialty Group, reflecting its transition into a specialty insurance platform.
- The company’s shares will begin trading under the new ticker symbol “OSG” on the New York Stock Exchange starting November 20.
- The rebrand follows Ambac’s sale of its legacy financial guarantee business and its focus on building and acquiring managing general agency [MGA] operations in the U.S., U.K., and Bermuda.
- Under the new structure, Cirrata Group will operate as Octave Partners, and Beat Capital Partners will become Octave Ventures, while its MGAs and hybrid fronting carrier Everspan Group will retain their existing names.
- AMBC +0.11% after hours to $8.7.
