Third Avenue Small-Cap Value Fund returned 7.18% during the third quarter, underperforming its benchmark MSCI USA Small Cap Value Index's 8.97% and Russell 2000 Value Index's 12.60%.
The fund initiated new positions in Boise Cascade (NYSE:BCC) and Rogers (NYSE:ROG), and exited Hamilton Beach Brands (NYSE:HBB).
Third Avenue added to several existing positions in Q3, including UniFirst (NYSE:UNF).
