OpenAI收购人工智能初创公司Software Apps
2025-10-24 02:32
- OpenAI (OPENAI) said on Thursday that it has acquired artificial intelligence startup Software Applications, maker of the Sky language interface for Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) macOS.
- “With Sky, AI works alongside you, whether you’re writing, planning, coding, or managing your day,” OpenAI said in a blog post, announcing the acquisition. “Sky understands what’s on your screen and can take action using your apps.”
- Nick Turley, VP and Head of ChatGPT, said OpenAI is working on a future where ChatGPT will help users perform tasks. “Sky’s deep integration with the Mac accelerates our vision of bringing AI directly into the tools people use every day,” Turley said.
- Software Applications was founded by former Apple employees, all of whom will be joining OpenAI after the deal closes. The startup was founded in 2023 and had raised $6.5M in funding from several investors, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Bloomberg reported.
- The acquisition was led by Turley and Fidji Simo and approved by the independent Transaction and Audit Committees of OpenAI’s board of directors.
