英国再次尝试访问苹果云数据:报告

2025-10-01 22:06

  • Despite Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard saying Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will not have to build a “backdoor” into its cloud data for the U.K. government, it appears the U.K. is trying again.
  • The U.K. government issued a new order in September for the iPhone maker to create the backdoor, except it will only target British users' data, the Financial Times reported. The order came from the U.K. Home Office, the news outlet added, citing people briefed on the matter.
  • In August, Director Gabbard said that working in conjunction with President Trump and Vice President Vance, the U.K. agreed to “drop its mandate for Apple to provide a 'back door' that would have enabled access to the protected encrypted data of American citizens and encroached on our civil liberties.” The point had been a matter of contention between the two countries, and U.S. lawmakers raised concerns that the mandate could be used by criminals or state actors.
  • Apple shares rose 1% in early trading on Wednesday.
