AIRO Group Holdings (NASDAQ:AIRO) announced on Monday that it joined the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes. The company will be added to the index effective upon the market opening on Monday.
The Russell 3000 Index is a capitalization-weighted benchmark that represents approximately 98% of the investable U.S. equity market by including the 3,000 largest publicly traded U.S. companies. The Russell 2000 is made up of the smallest 2,000 companies within the broader Russell 3000 Index, focusing exclusively on small-cap U.S. corporation.
"AIRO’s addition to the Russell 2000 and 3000 Indexes highlights the strength of our strategy and the confidence investors are placing in our company," stated AIRO (NASDAQ:AIRO) Executive Chairman Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria. "It expands our visibility within the global investment community and creates a strong foundation to drive disciplined growth, broaden our shareholder base, and enhance long-term market value," he added.
The aerospace and defense company said its inclusion highlights its market capitalization, financial performance, and growth trajectory while providing enhanced visibility and credibility within the investment community. The expectation is that the inclusion also opens access to a broader base of institutional investors, index funds, and ETFs that track the benchmarks, supporting increased liquidity and long-term shareholder value.
Shares of AIRO (AIRO) were up 1.3% in premarket action.
