Anglo American，Codelco完成50亿美元的智利铜矿交易

- Anglo American (OTCQX:AAUKF) and Chilean state-run copper exploration firm Codelco have finalized a joint plan to operate their neighboring copper mines, Los Bronces and Andina, in Chile.
- The agreement, approved by both boards, builds on an MoU signed earlier this year. The transaction is expected to generate a pre-tax net present value uplift of at least $5 billion, to be shared equally between the two companies.
- The joint mine plan aims to deliver an additional 2.7 million tons of copper over 21 years, starting once permits are secured, which is currently anticipated in 2030. The additional 120,000 tons per year will be split evenly between the partners, produced at about 15% lower costs than if the mines operated separately, and requiring minimal extra capital.
