- Akanda (NASDAQ:AKAN) announced the execution and closing of a securities purchase agreement with institutional investors for the purchase and sale of 12 month, convertible promissory notes for an aggregate purchase price of up to $12.0M, in a private placement transaction.
- The company shall use the proceeds from the sale of the notes for marketing purposes of up to $3.5 million, for the renewal and continued development of the company's Gabriola, B.C. site, working capital and general corporate purposes of up $3 million and up to $7 million to be used for debt.
