Exelixis关闭宾夕法尼亚州工厂，裁员130名员工

Exelixis (NASDAQ:EXEL) is shutting down a facility in King of Prussia, Pa., to focus its operations at its headquarters in Alameda, Calif.
As a result, 130 employees will be laid off, according to Fierce Biotech.
"Exelixis hired a significant number of employees—including many in fully remote positions—during the pandemic and post-pandemic period to meet the company’s needs at the time," a company spokesperson told the website. "As our business has continued to evolve, we have made the difficult decision to reorganize the company’s structure to focus largely on our operations in Alameda, California."
The biotech is cutting other positions as well. A recent California Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice stated that 71 employees at headquarters are losing their jobs, along with another 33 remote employees.
In January 2024, Exelixis cut about 175 jobs.
