Diana Shipping (NYSE:DSX) has signed a time charter contract with Cargill Ocean Transportation for the m/v DSI Phoenix.
The Ultramax dry bulk vessel will be chartered at a gross rate of $13,500/day, less a 4.75% commission.
The charter starts on August 3, 2025, and runs until at least October 1, 2026, with a maximum end date of November 30, 2026.
The employment is expected to generate ~$5.64M in gross revenue over the minimum charter period.
The m/v DSI Phoenix is a 60,456 dwt Ultramax vessel built in 2017.
Diana Shipping’s fleet includes 36 dry bulk vessels with a total carrying capacity of ~4.1M dwt.
The company expects to add two methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax vessels in 2027 and 2028.
DSX shares fall 2.2% on Friday.
